New York Fashion Week’s Best Hairstyles

We may be gearing up for another Chicago fall/winter here in Chicago, but at New York’s Fashion Week earlier this month everyone was thinking spring. Below are some of the best hairstyles from this year’s Fashion Week.

French Braid by Orlando Pita

Orlando Pita, hairstylist for Oscar de la Renta, claims to always try to create hair that no one can do at home. Lucky for you, you have XEX!

’20’s Inspired Rolls by Peter Gray

Hairstylist Peter Gray used Morocconoil products to help him create these glamorous rolls. Moroccanoil Light Oil Treatment for Fine and Light-Colored Hair was used on the ends of the hair, and Moroccanoil Root Boost was misted onto the hair to add texture. After a rough blow dry and some curling, Moroccanoil Glimmer Shine Spray was added to give the hair shine.

Soft Waves by Garren

Hairstylist Garren created a grungy/hippie/romantic look for Anna Sui by using a triple-barrel waver. To get soft waves instead of crimps, Garren held the waver at an angle instead of horizontally.

GOLD BARRETTES

Gold Barrettes made a big impact at Jason Wu’s show. For this look, hairstylist Odile Gilbert blow dried the hair straight, flatironed it a ton, then spritzed it with hair spray before adding the gold barrette.
