The Darra studio has created its own exclusive glass mosaic technique. The process is similar to that of traditional mosaics, yet with modern innovation that results in the unusual beauty of the product. Piece after piece of glass is laid in place, sometimes forming several layers, to create compositions held together by a transparent resin. Next, they fix the work between two panes of glass to make a double glazing. The visual impact is mesmerizing because of the luminous refractions granted by the thickness and layering of the small pieces. A wide variety of subjects are available in glass mosaic.
